Today, I had the great pleasure of meeting my replacement, who was sitting at my desk in my office. My boss must've forgotten to mention to me that I've been fired. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my boss called me into his office. After yelling and firing me, his assistant comes in telling him he had mistaken me for someone else. He did not give me my job back, as he claimed it would make an awkward work environment. FML
Today, I went to my first day of work in over 2 years. As I approached the boss, he asked me what my name was. Turned out they hired the wrong person. FML
Today, my boss finally pronounced my name correctly. My name was then followed by the words, "You're fired." FML
Today, I got a new job. This would've been a good thing, but apparently, the person I'm replacing was very well-liked around my workplace. All of my co-workers hate me now for replacing someone who I don't even know. FML
Today, at work one of my co-worker was oddly nice to me; and my boss, who usually always says hi to me, didn't look or speak to me. Later that day I found out that I was going to be fired, not because my boss told me but because my picture was missing from the wall of employees. FML
Today, my boss fired me because I corrected him after he misspoke during a meeting. FML
Today, I got a new chair at work. After spending three hours putting it together, I was called into my boss's office and let go. FML
Today, after nearly eight months of unemployment, I started a great new job. After seven and a half hours of work, my new boss comes up to tell me what a great job I was doing, but that he somehow forgot to clear the new hire with the company owner, so I'm fired. Hello, unemployment... again. FML
Today, my boss called me into his office. He then fired me. Upset, I asked him, "Well, who's gonna replace me?" His answer was, "I don't know and don't care. Everyone who works here hates you. Now go away." FML
Today, my boss was fired by the board. A few days ago, he dropped several strong hints that he was going to promote me soon. FML

Considering that you don't live in a Right-to-Work state, I feel it safe to assume you're a union member, which I'm pretty sure means you can take that nonsense straight to HR for a fair representation of your case. Good luck, OP

It's also an at will state so OP's employer can fire them (or anyone) at any given time without reason or cause, provided they haven't done anything to give OP beliefs that it's a discriminatory firing. Right to work has to do with the decision of joining or not joining a union not affecting your chance to work, not firing you after you've been hired.

Basically, if it's not due to sexism, racism, or a religious reason, in quite a few places you can get fired for something stupid like sneezing during a meeting.

That would suck, but right after going to get ice cream during work hours, taking a walk during work hours, watching a movie during work hours, meeting new people during work hours, other location based activities during work hours, and then finding a better job.
