Today, my mother told me how she managed to afford all of the expensive Christmas presents we got. She took out extra money when applying for my student loans. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Sleigh bells
Today, my mom and I went to Best Buy for some Christmas shopping. She picked up some presents for me and told me not to look at what she was buying. When we got to the register, she didn't have enough money, and I ended up having to buy my own presents. FML
Today, I discovered my mom has been using my credit card to buy everyone's Christmas presents. FML
Today, I was missing $20 from my wallet, so I decided to ask my sister if she had taken it. Her response? "That reminds me, I need to borrow another 50." She has a job. That was my Christmas money. FML
Today, I found out my mom took around $2,500 from my savings account to pay off my sister's college tuition. She recently flunked out of her studies and won't be returning to college anyway. FML
Addict
Today, my mother asked me if she could borrow $200. Being the lovely daughter I am, I gave her my bank card to withdraw it herself. She gambled it away and maxed my bank account out. I had $1500 saved. FML
Today, I found out my school's financial aid had a "misunderstanding" of my finances, I can no longer afford to pay half of my bills or pay for Christmas. FML
Today, I had to spend all of my money on textbooks even though my refrigerator is empty. Starving and frustrated, I called home to ask for money for groceries. My mom told me I could afford to skip a few meals. FML
Today, after months of helping my mother with bills because she claimed she had no money, I found out she makes way more than what I do. She just wanted my money for alcohol and drugs. FML
Selfish
Today, my mom yelled at me because I refused to lend her money. The reason I won't lend her money? The last time I did, she and my dad went out and bought a Macbook and a new car instead of paying bills. Apparently, I'm being 'selfish' by keeping my own money and putting it towards university. FML
Thieves like us
Today, my mom stole my holiday money because she found it “near her bag” in my kitchen and “assumed it was hers” and she must have “forgotten it was in there all this time.” I demanded it back, but she’d already spent it on hair, nails, shoes, and a date night with dad. She won’t pay me back either. FML

Which she's paying for, right? If not, that's a total bitch move.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like a lifetime of debt.

So in actuality, your mom got you debt.

Sue the **** out of her. don't stop till she's in so much debt that the last penny will be paid the moment before she die

This is why you don't make mommy do your financial aid. Just get her to put her info you need into it and nothing else.

Maybe OP didn't know that he/she's mom was even doing it.

So your saying OP thought his tuition was magically being paid for? He knew his mom took out loans, just not how much. That was the problem. Plus, all you have to to is go look at your loans online. This is OPs fault.
BreM16 23
No what I'm saying is that maybe OP was going to do them, but OPs mom beat he/she to it and took out the extra money.

I've gotta agree with you. This kind of thing can't happen unless you just have your parent do all your work for you and tell you where to sign. Unless these loans were taken out in the parents name, in which case, that's still the parent's money. No sweat off OPs back.

I took my mom to court for trying the same thing. I won and she almost went to jail.

Sounds like OP should private message you about this if that's true.

Better presents, huh?

And this is why it's time to grow up and set up your loans by yourself. Welcome to adulthood.

And she's making you pay for it I bet. Some parents are totally disgusting.
