Today, my mom told me that she'd rather wait for the city bus all day than allow me to give her a ride. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom changed her mind about driving me to a job interview because she wants to attend a meeting at a church she told me she'd never go back to, full of people she hates. I can't drive because she refuses to teach me how. There's no public transportation. FML
Today, my mother won't let me intern at a prestigious college, working with graduate students and professors, and being paid, because she doesn't want to drive me. FML
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike
Today, I argued with my mom that I deserved enough independence to ride my bike to school. Halfway there, I realized I was so out of shape that I had to call her for a ride. FML
Ain't no way
Today, my mom offered to drive us into the city after Christmas. I told her months ago that I wasn't getting in a car she was driving, because I don't trust her not to secretly drink and drive. I guess she either forgot or didn't think I meant it. Now I have to tell her again, two days before flying down there. FML
Today, I waited over an hour for my bus. As I finally saw it approaching, I reached into my purse to grab my ticket. The lady next to me then gave the driver a hand signal to keep driving. FML
Happy Father's Day
Today, my mom said I was not allowed to spend Father's Day with my dad. When I tried to point out that I'm 24 years-old and she couldn't stop me, she disabled my car. I don't trust rideshare. FML
See ya!
Today, my family was leaving for a weekend trip and was supposed to pick me up on the way down. About an hour before they are supposed to arrive, my mom calls to tell me that there's no room left in the car, so they won't be stopping to get me. FML
Nicely planned
Today, my roommate wanted me to try out a new bus route home, I knew it might take longer but she really wanted me to try, so I went with her. After waiting for ages at The Exchange bus stop for the last bus home, we missed it, and had to take an Uber. FML
Soaking
Today, I had to walk home in the rain because my mom didn't want to get her new car wet. FML
**** me, right?
Today, I got offered a ride to go home for the weekend. I go to college six hours away from home and haven't seen my family for almost two months. When I called my mom with the good news, she told me not to come. FML

So then that's her problem. Let her wait for the bus, you can't force her to be comfortable in the car with you.

Wow, you must be a bad driver if she prefers waiting for the bus all day.

If you are a bad driver then you completely deserve this. I'd rather wait hours for a bus then have my brother drive me becasue he scares me to death...

That doesn't sound like a problem.

Damn, so do always shit yourself when you're around her or something? Then I can understand why she does that.

Moms are always terrible drivers and panic hipocritically whenever their kids drive

When my mom taught me to drive, she'd freak out whenever I was as clumsy as she usually is. What's worse, being judged causes me to make more mistakes. It was a frustrating time.
