Today, my husband told his parents that he was quitting his job so that he could focus on school. They asked him what he was going to do for money. When I told them that I'd be the one working, they took one look at me and burst into laughter. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
That's nice, but…
Today, my husband announced the reason he had been working since much is because he had secretly paid off my tens of thousands of student loans. I then had to tell him I'm leaving him for his best friend. FML
Today, I finally quit the job that I've been complaining about. Before I could tell my husband, he informed me that he had been laid off, and was thankful we still had my income. FML
Kinda ****** up
Today, after presenting my husband with a more than fair request to pay me an hourly wage for being a stay-at-home mom, he laughed his ass off and told me if I want money so badly, I could get a job. He'd rather strangers in daycare raise our babies than pay me what I'm worth. FML
Make your minds up
Today, I was offered a job that pays far more than I expected, being a high school senior. My parents decided they aren't letting me take the job, saying I should enjoy my childhood. They're also not paying for my college, which is why I was looking for work in the first place. FML
For better and for worse
Today, my husband decided he was finally going to quit his job. We literally bought a house last week. His job is/was easy, with pay way above his qualifications. After we'd talked about it FOR THE 50TH TIME, he did the opposite and texted the dept. head that he hates the company and wants to be part time at most. FML
No! Noooo!
Today, I told my parents I was pregnant. They yelled at me until I started crying. I'm 31, married, and I have a good paying job. FML
Antiwork
Today, my boyfriend came home and said he'd been fired from his minimum wage cashier job. He added that since I make enough to cover the bills, he wants to take a break from "working and shit." I stared at him, mouth agape, and he thought I was offering him a blowjob. FML
Today, I asked my parents if I had a college fund because I will be going to university in two years. They laughed. FML
You tried
Today, I'm in my late thirties, I quit my dream job to go back to school in hopes of providing a better future for my family. All my wife does anymore is bitch about how she has to support the family and do everything. I just found out that my grades aren't good enough to continue my college program. FML
Today, I went to ask my boss for a raise. He laughed at me and said, "That's hilarious because I was going to ask you if you could take a pay cut!" FML

Work hard so you can laugh at them when you prove them wrong.

Never mind them, OP. As long as you work hard, you can prove them wrong. :)

Actually, #7, my mom gets along great with my dads family. So it's not ALL in laws.

#7 Said "pretty much" not "every single".

#7 Yep, my father-in-law had a go at me once because I didn't have a 'job'. At that time I was working full time as a Registered Nurse/Midwife, lecturing in Nursing at a university and finishing my honours masters degree. I had one day off a fortnight. I also made more money than my husband. His definition of a job was digging in a field or working as a shop assistant. Some people are brainless.

"Pretty much all" makes it sound like most do, and I don't think that's right either. People complain loudly when they're in a bad way, but few talk about how great their relationship is, cause few like to brag

hey OP, if your husband is all right with that idea, then it's all that matters. Best of luck!

And if you are as well! It's great if you two agree to support each other in your respective projects. Good luck to both of you!

Some people call their in-laws mom and dad too

Still doesn't mean that they're their parents

Don't listen to them. You have your husband to support you and that's all you need. Good luck!

Actually, it's she who is there to support her husband, and in more ways than one.
ImAFaker 29
I meant moral support. And yes, she can support him as well.

Go Girl! Don't let that get you down! :)

Stab them both multiple times and watch them bleed out on the floor as you tell at them "WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?!"

Well that escalated quickly

Less CSI movies, more pop tarts, son.

And when you get that 6-figure salary, they'll take one look at you and burst into tears.

You got this OP! It's hard to find someone who will support another while they work for their dreams! Your a great person!

Hopefully you get through it!
