Today, my husband jolted in bed and while still half-asleep said, "I had a nightmare; I dreamt we had a kid." I'm 8 months pregnant. FML

Congradulations on your pregnancy OP, i hope your husbands nightmare is super short lived

That was probably the worst way to word that, I get the vibe that you're hoping OP will miscarry/the child will die after birth. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but that's how it sounds.

I think they are thumbing it up because both points make sense - it it obviously meant in a 'i hope the nightmare stops' way but it is true it could be read in a more morbid sense.

Maybe he dreamt he had a very misbehaved child?

Well you know it's always a little scary right before you have a kid

Wait until he finds out that it wasn't a dream.

After doors open nightmares...become realities (A Haunting)

I think it's more that he obviously doesn't like kids hence a nightmare about having a kid....

Stress dreams are the worst.

Well, congrats on the pregnancy, OP. He'll come around when he sees that sweet baby, hopefully, and if not, there are many successful single parents out there. Perhaps a discussion, when he is fully conscious, is in order!
