Today, my husband and I had our third marriage counseling session. The only reason I was going was in hopes that the therapist would see he needs help. At the end of the session, she told me she wanted to start doing one on one sessions... with only me. FML

Too many people approach counseling as a "I'm clearly right and the therapist needs to fix my partner" rather than as a neutral mediation session. Take the advice of your counselor and let them help you. It is wholly possible that you are a bigger problem than you can see from your point of view.

Today, I told my boyfriend I was horny and was waiting for him at my place. 30 minutes later, he still hadn't arrived, so I called him and asked if he was coming. He replied "Already did, right into a kleenex." and hung up. FML

Today, I left the iron and ironing board in my room. While I was at school, my mom decided to do some ironing, and did it in my room for convenience. The iron needed water, so she took a water bottle from my dresser and poured it in. It was my secret vodka stash, and the iron caught on fire. FML

Today, after waking up to a spilled bottle of juice on my clothes, I heard my ex died. Whilst baking cookies to distract myself, I melted my work laptop on the toaster. FML

Today, I got a call and was offered a position with a company that I really wanted to work for. I just had to wait a week to confirm that everything was good to go. Ten seconds after ending the call, they called back and said that they'd called the wrong person. The offer was for someone else. FML
