Today, my fiancé and I planned a romantic movie night. Champagne, popcorn, romantic comedy. Then his friend decided to show up and they've been talking about 1st generation Pokémon ever since. FML

Man, I sure feel bad, I was soo tempted to say "bros before hoes" when I read this. Then I started thinking in the OP's perspective, some guy comes over to freeload and interrupt a good night with pokemon talk. But then I re-read that it was 1st gen Pokemon, and to that I must say that there will be many romantic nights. But there's only 1 (maybe 2) generation of pokemon that bring people together. And if OP can't understand that, then bros over hoes indeed. At least for the night, OP. lord knows any other time it's boobs over noobs :p

In all honesty, I can't see how this situation isn't a win. Not only does my fiancé still have her gameboy color, but she plays video games religiously. This sounds more like true love than a sad situation.
