Today, my boyfriend finally proposed to me in front of his whole family with the ring his mother had helped him pick out. Two hours later, I found emails of nudes from another women that had been sent to him a week prior, on his phone. Our flight for home leaves in a week. FML

Today, I was lying in bed minding my own business when my mom entered the room. I was proposed to a few weeks ago by my boyfriend, and my mom came in to tell me that my boyfriend's mom was on the phone. Turns out, he stole the engagement ring from her drawer. FML

Confront him and find out if he's decided or will decide to be serious about your relationship or not. If not move on get out before marriage. So many people marry young and think they can make it work out after... That is not the case the relationship needs to work before in order for a marriage to last.

50 and 45, I think you're both failing to see that those pictures might be from another women that he knows. So he may be engaging in some sort relationship with another women at this point. I don't care if my SO watches ****, but I would not tolerate him cheating on me with another woman. Like other commenters have said, it could be automated texts from a **** service, or it could be from someone he knows.

Yes, he's an asshole. But you don't just accidentally find such emails while using his phone to google a gingerbread recipe. Also, you could use this situation to find out what he was missing in relationship. Maybe there's something you can improve about yourself, for him or for your next partner.

I hate to be the one to ask but... Do you really mistrust him that much to go through his phone? Doesn't sound like you're all in this relationship either and have many insecurities. Suppose there was nothing incriminating on his phone, it's clear you don't trust him at all. No. I'm not defending the cheating scumbag.... But.... Sorry. From my past experiences with someone who was like that and didn't trust me for no reason aside from her insecurities, YDI.

I think it shows trust when you feel comfortable enough to let your SO go through your phone. My boyfriend can get on my phone and go through anything on there, and vise versa. We don't have anything to hid from each other, we don't need to keep secrets on our phones.

111 it may show less trust than total control over their SO. My fiancé and I trust each other but everyone is allowed their own personal space without being treated with suspicion. Boundaries are important and not going through each other's phone shows real trust not this fake trust.

I like how, with zero additional information, everyone just takes OP's version of the information. "Dump him" is the knee jerk reaction? How about - " Was there more to the emails, like a message?" "Did the email address look like a chick's?" "Did you check the email in FB?" etc. It's possible that a male friend of his sent him these of another person. Still not good but hardly cheating. And to those that say he shouldn't have any **** on his phone - LMAO. Grow up. **** isn't cheating, no matter how emotionally insecure you are.
