Today, I was interviewed by a WalMart employee for a position in their pharmacy. I didn't get the job. I was more qualified than the woman who gave me the interview. FML

Today, I have put in many job applications and had many interviews for a variety of positions all of which I am highly qualified for. Today, I heard back from all but one that I am overqualified. Welcome to Walmart. FML
Today, I tried to get a job at Walmart. My mom was the hiring manager. She turned me down due to lack of work experience. FML
Today, my application for a holiday role at a department store was declined because I was "not as qualified as some other candidates." I worked this exact same job at this exact same store last year. FML
Today, I had a job interview at Walmart. They showed a video of me stealing. FML
Today, I received a call telling me I had not gotten a job I would have been a perfect fit for. The hiring manager told me they "went in the opposite direction" and chose to hire someone with less experience, so they didn't have to pay them as much. She made sure to tell me I was still the better candidate though. FML
Today, I interviewed potential employees for a job position that I was supposed to get promoted to. FML
Today, my hours got cut because I couldn't make it into work when they called me in. Why couldn't I make it in? I was in an interview for a better job. I didn't get the job. FML
Today, I got notice that I didn't get the new position I applied for at work. After two interviews, pay negotiation and paperwork, as well as years of giving this place all my time, I found out my boss gave it to his friend's daughter, who has no experience or credentials needed for the position. FML
Today, I got a call from the only company that asked me to come in for an interview of the many applications I submitted. I answered it even though I was at my current job. My boss heard and chewed me out. The call was to cancel the interview since the position was filled. FML
Today, while waiting for an interview at the career that I've been spending months tailoring my résumé for, I was thrown up on by my only competitor. Guess who got the job. FML

When I was younger and worked at a laser tag place the manager would not hire people who were over qualified for positions. But it was because most of them had college degrees. Would be a waste of time for them to not use it.

The manager didn't do it for them because it would be a waste if their degree. They passed over them because there is a good chance they would leave quicker for a better offer and they'd have to fill the job again.

Qualifications for walmart are NOT ability based. If you can do the basics of the job and lack enough options to leave when mistreated, you "qualify". If you can tell them where to stick it when you are cut from 40 hrs to 24, and that is two 12 hr shifts 6 hrs apart...you do not qualify.
