Today, I was having trouble blowing out the last of the several candles on my bedside table. Exasperated, I blew as hard as I could, which sent hot wax from the other candles shooting into the air, all over my face and into my eyes. FML

Today, while moving my wax burner away from the window, I spilled hot wax all over my hands, the wall, and in my electric fireplace. FML
Today, I was getting my chest waxed. The woman dipped the stick into the wax and hit her elbow, making wax fall into my eyes. FML
Today, I burned my nose. How? I tried sniffing a lit candle. FML
Today, I was sitting next to my friend as he blew out the candles on his birthday cake. Some asshole got the bright idea to shove his face in the cake, but they missed and pushed me in instead. The candles were still lit. My hair caught fire. FML
Today, a hornet thought it would be fun to fly into a candle that I had lit. As the hornet burned to death, it flung its charred body at my face, which is more painful than it sounds. FML
Today, I was at a fire roasting marshmallows. When mine caught on fire, I pulled it back so I could blow out the flames. It flew off the stick, and, still flaming, landed on my face. FML
Today, I found a box of birthday candles sitting on the coffee table. Bored, I lit one, and after a minute I threw it away and sat back down on the couch. I started looking at the box and noticed that it said "Magic Re-Lighting Candles" at the exact moment that my trash can burst into flames. FML
Today, I was roasting marshmallows around a campfire when mine burst into flames. I instinctively shook the stick to get it to go out. The flaming marshmallow then catapulted straight into my eye, burning my whole eyelid. FML
Today, as a stressed NHS nurse, I tried to take a relaxing bath, except I dropped my book in the water, my candle set my hair on fire, I slipped getting out and may have broken my finger. The noise woke up my two kids, so I had to start their bedtime routine over again, and I got bath salt crystals in my eye. FML
Today, I was showing my grandson how to blow out the candles on his birthday cake. I got a little too close and set my hair on fire. The candles remained lit but my grandson was too terrified to go near them after the whole ordeal. FML

ok this is just FULL OF FAKE!!!!!!!!!!! how the fu*k can you blow a candle out and have the wax shot towards your face?! that would mean you were sucking the air in but even that is impossible! and if the wax went into your eyes youd be blind! so you are a fake attention seeker!

If she was directly above the candle when she blew it out, the liquid wax could have splashed up at her. The same principle causes water to splash back up when someone jumps into a pool. But then, that's pretty stupid as well, sticking one's face right up against a candle to blow it out...and if there was that much liquefied wax floating in the candle, she burned it WAY too long. So either way, she's a ******' moron.

no it could deff b real because yes wax cools fast but u can burn it long enough to make a puddle of hot melted wax in the candle and if u blow from the top the wax splashes up and cools on the skin...I know I've watched it happen and had to help him get the wax off from around him eye

No, she was probably above the candles blowing down, and there's a bit of a rounded hollow where the wax is melting where the wick is, so the wax would go straight up in the air, and into her face.

yes. cuz it's completely logical to have your face right above lit candles. especially since OP is a female, her assumed long hair could catch on fire

That sucks. I hope there was no real damage. For the others, you CAN blow into hot wax, or other liquids, and have it fly back at you. Common physics. Take a shot glass and put water in it. Blow into it sharply from up close and your face will get wet. Just sayin.

Though it could be possible... but if it went into her eyes, wouldn't she be having some medical attention that would be really bad? :S
