Today, I was changing my tampon in a public toilet. When I threw away the used one and opened a new one, it turned out that it had no thread on it! I took another one out. Again, defective! It was the last one I had with me, and it was the second day of my period. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was changing my tampon in a public bathroom. As I was about to put the tampon into the sanitary bin, I dropped it and it rolled under the stall next to mine. It was occupied. FML
My stupidity
Today, I got my period and went clubbing. I had to change my tampon and stupidly I only brought one. When I unwrapped it, it fell on the floor. I had to wait in the womens' bathroom for 45 minutes for a random girl to give me a spare. FML
Today, I was in a bathroom stall and I accidentally dropped my new tampon on the ground. Just as I was about to reach for it, I heard a voice on the other side of the stall say, "Oh great, I needed that" and then a hand reached under my stall and grabbed it. It was my last one. FML
Today, I put a tampon in. The string broke. I had to go to the hospital to get it out. FML
Today, while sitting on the toilet, I noticed there was no toilet paper left, so I dug through my purse to use my one and only pad as a substitute. It clogged the toilet, and I started my period ten minutes later. FML
Today, someone at work put their used, bloodied tampon applicator back in its wrapper, and into the free tampon bin for some sucker to grab. That sucker was me. FML
Out of it
Today, I'm sick with a fever, and on my cycle I was too tired and forgot to change my tampon, and ended up putting another one in. I woke up to go to the bathroom and ended up pulling two out. FML
Today, my tampon string was hanging from my bathing suit. My boyfriend thought it was a thread hanging from my bikini bottom. He publicly pulled out my tampon. FML
Nice neighborhood
Today, I had to clean up human poop that someone trailed through the store. Then, as I was cleaning up all the shelves at the end of the day, I saw that someone had changed their sanitary pad, took a new one out of the packed and used it, then left the used one on the shelf. FML
Today, I was expecting my period. To avoid the embarrassment of everyone in the office finding out, instead of putting tampons in my bag, I hid one in my bra. It fell out while I was coming back from lunch. I am now known to all as "The Tampon Dispenser". FML

Lots of toilet paper for a makeshift pad until you can get to the store on a break.

You can still use them without the thread girl. They actually make eco friendly ones that dont have threads.

Hi. Man here. I don’t understand a single thing about this post. But I suspect it was a very bad thing.

How does this story end? You’re stringing us along, and that’s knot nice!

You can use tampons without a string. They make them like that. I know a lot of people don’t like them, but it’s better than nothing!

As a horny old lady cashier grinned and said to me when using my credit card with a chip, “Stick it in and leave it!”

Yet another reason I prefer pads over tampons.

Uh. Hello. Have you never walked down a tampon isle? They purposely sell tampons without strings. The brand is O.B. It is NOT that difficult. It does NOT get stuck. And you do NOT need to “give childbirth” to get it out. My goodness people. God forbid you touch around your ******, just wash your hands afterwards.

Sounds like you might be a dude. O.B. definitely has strings. They are green and coiled at the base of the tampon inside the plastic cover. They don't use an applicator and are smaller to carry. That said, while removing tampons without strings is possible, it's often messy and not fun to attempt in work bathrooms because there will be blood on your hands.
