Today, I realised how socially inept I am, when I muttered an apology to my laptop after I noticed I hadn't plugged its charger in. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Cabin fever
Today, I realized I've lived alone for so long, I now apologize to my phone for dropping it, or even over-charging it. FML
Been there, done that
Today, I spent an hour trying to figure out why my laptop wouldn't charge. I restarted it three times, watched two tutorials, and almost ordered a new charger until I realized that the actual charger wasn't plugged into the wall. FML
Today, I tried to fix my laptop charger by fiddling around with it using metal tweezers. Not only did I forget to unplug the cord and shocked myself, I also ended up breaking the charger completely. FML
Tech support starts at home
Today, I spent 10 minutes on the phone with tech support before realizing my “broken” printer was unplugged behind the desk and had been the whole time. The agent waited in silence as I was checking, but I was too embarrassed to tell him, so I hung up the phone in shame. FML
Brain fart
Today, the speakers on my laptop weren't working. I worried I'd broken something, and started freaking out. I restarted my computer numerous times and played with the settings for an hour before calling my sister in to help. She looked at it for two seconds, then unplugged my headphones. FML
Today, I tried to make a move on the cute guy who sits opposite me at work. In theory, I was going to start a game of footsie with him. In practice, I screwed up and managed to yank his computer's power cable out. He lost his unsaved work. FML
Brain melt
Today, I stood there for 10 minutes trying to fix the toaster, until I called my brother to help me. I'd forgotten that it wasn't plugged in. He now thinks I'm a complete idiot. FML
Today, while trying to get my phone to charge, I shoved in the cable harder and harder and tried to wobble it so my phone would charge. After snapping the USB input from the force, I saw the plug was switched off. FML
Slapstick
Today, my laptop plug got stuck in the wall outlet. I stood there for 10 minutes violently trying to yank it out. My boss came in and screamed at me for making noise. I was angry, so I glared at him and yanked on the plug as hard as I could. It dislodged itself noiselessly and I fell over. FML
Today, I was driving home from a long day at work fixing people's electronics. When I got home, I got a call from work saying I needed to go back and help a customer with their TV again. When I got there, after an hour of driving, I realized I'd accidentally kicked the power cord out. FML

It said thank you in heart. I mean, it almost died.

Did it say thank you?

I've noticed that things such as laptops and cell phones tend to be temperamental. A little sucking up never hurts.

How rude of you to do that... Well at least you apologized for almost killing it

Well when all of our electronics become self aware and annihilate us, you'll be spared for your politeness, so hey your ahead of the game.

Don't forget to say good morning to your toaster! And goodnight to your toothbrush...

And a "How do you do?" to your toilet every afternoon.

Well, that IS a pretty unforgivable act. My iPod shunned me for a week when I forgot to plug it in.

Really? Sounds like an over reaction, my phone got over me forgetting it's password in an hour.

I think you're fine as long as you don't say 'You like that, don't you?' When you do stick the charger in.
