Today, I'm so broke, I resorted to breaking into my old apartment complex to do my laundry in the basement for free. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Creepypasta time
Today, I spent over $20 at the laundromat doing two weeks of laundry, just to avoid using the facilities in my apartment complex and having to deal with my creepy landlord trying to steal my underwear again. FML
Today, I spent my afternoon rummaging through old jeans and other pants, due to being broke and needing cash for ramen. FML
Money for nothing
Today, I did my laundry in my dorm. After dragging 2 hampers down 4 flights of stairs, my ID card with money on it was rejected. After dragging it back upstairs, I scrounged up enough quarters from friends. Thirty minutes after finally starting my laundry, I realized I forgot to add detergent. FML
Today, I went to do the laundry at my hotel. I had just enough money for my two loads. After getting frustrated with the washer taking two of my quarters and giving no credit, I took the clothes out. The washer then locked the door shut and started without my clothes. FML
Today, I finally got around to doing laundry. The washing machines in my condominium building take about an hour to do a load. When I returned to throw my clothes in a dryer, I realized they were never washed in the first place. I used my card and detergent to pay for another person's laundry. FML
Today, I went to do my laundry. Having no laundry bag, I put clothes in a suitcase and headed to the basement. When my roommate saw me, she burst into tears with happiness. FML
Today, after putting a bag of dirty laundry in the laundry room to wait for an open washer, I came back to find a "free stuff" sign on all of my expensive jeans, new towels, and favorite sweatshirts. The bag was over half empty. FML
Today, after scouring my apartment for quarters to do laundry, I found the correct amount of change. The change got jammed in the washing machine. I now have no more quarters, and my clothes are caked with soap from washing them in the sink. FML
Here comes the flood
Today, my tiny apartment flooded. My family lives out of state and the few friends I have all gave me B.S. excuses for why I can't stay over for a few nights. I'm so broke this month that I'll probably have to hit up my psycho ex. FML
Today, my house was broken into. I'm really poor and don't have a television or nice clothing, so they just dumped my trash all over the house and stole my one loaf of bread that was supposed to last me for the week. FML

You shouldn't be doing this, but I can totally understand how life takes us there sometimes

Why not just move back then by selling your current home? (Assuming you're not in a different apartment)

Why not wash in the sink/bathtub? It takes a bit of time, but sitting in your old building while waiting for your laundry would take just as long. (Assuming you did not leave your clothes unattended there too).

Pretty sure they were trying to avoid getting a bigger bill.

I've been in this position before, it doesn't add much to your bill if you take the clothes you want to wear the next day into the shower with you then hang them to dry.

The laundrymat would cost more still. I also get my water and electricity inclusive so it does not cost me more. Not sure about OP.

"You think the security is your ally? You merely adopted the protection. I was born in it, molded by it."

Now you have me thinking of a guy dressed in black coming down from the roof with a rope avoiding lasers while sticking clothes in the washer

Your life sucks but you deserve it. You're broke then get a job and learn how to manage your money. (Unless you're unable to get a job)

thanks for the life lesson. Idk ops situation, but I went to school for a degree and have a job working 40 hours a week and I still live pay check to pay check and that's still not enough. so don't just assume.
