OP, you have discovered one of your misconceptions. We all have them, some of them are very common and some of them might seem silly to others. Your mind may have been hanging on to that one from early childhood. One of the tricks to life long learning is being able to recognize and discard misconceptions when the facts contradict them. Congrats on having an open mind.
