He is doing better with it today but it's just part of being a mom. Still not as bad as the time he puked in my mouth and all over my face.

Yup I would imagine puke in mouth would be a lot worse.

I'd take puke in the mouth every day for a year over even the smallest bit of poop painting, even if i threw everything out and replaced carpets/cleaned and painted walls i'd never be comfortable touching them again, would never feel clean.

Indeed, kids will do shitty stuff even if you do your best to watch them. You're a human being too, its not like you can glue your eyes to your kid 24/7. I hope your kid learns and doesn't crap up your house again.

I think I'm the only person who would prefer the vomit in my mouth over the poop all over the walls. At least with the vomit it was a quick and easy cleanup!! :( the only reason I say this is because my son is currently on formula and that's the nastiest stuff I've ever seen in my life?!

No one needs to be bashing you. They either don't have kids, have a nanny, or are the perfect parent(as if there is such a thing). Things can happen so quick when they are that age. If it's any consolation, it happens to all of us. When my oldest was about the same age I looked into his room in time to see him pull his nightlight partway out( it was the only one that didn't have the safety cap on it) and stick a butter knife into the outlet. Luckily, it immediately threw the breaker and it only knocked him back a few feet. Scared me (and him!)to death. It actually scorched the knife and melted part of his nightlight! He is now 24 and is expecting his first child in a couple of weeks, so he turned out none the worse for wear.

I am so thankful my daughter never had any finger painting poop incidents.

If you've ever smelled baby milk vomit you'd never ever say the vomit would be better. Especially when they switch to cows milk. There is no worse smell on the planet.

I really hate when people tell me to watch my kids better and then complain that I need to clean or make time for myself. I want to drop my kids off for a week with them, tell them to watch them 24/7 and make sure everything is spotless and they're not allowed to be stressed.

Right? some people are just so fuckig ignorant. It is NOT possible to watch your child 24/7 unless you have a surveilance system everywhere in the home and are constantly watching it while attempting laundry, dishes etc. The people that say that are just the dumbest on earth. My 3 kids are 8,7, and 5 and all 3 of them still get into shit because thats what kids do. Keep up the good work with your kids

You must not work around animals haha. I trained sea lions for about a year and it was a normal occurrence to come to work in the morning and find everything covered in poop. They always looked so proud when I had to clean it up.
