Today, I got into a screaming match with the mother of my kids. I told her they need to bathe more often. According to her, anything more than once a week is excessive and bad for their skin. My kids play sports and smell like puppies from the pound. She doesn’t care. FML

Today, my mom yelled at me because even though I shower thoroughly twice a day, I still stink. My mom showers once a week, never wears deodorant, and smells like roses. FML
Today, my mom revoked my shower privileges for a week, all because I'm “using too much water.” I'm the kind of person who will smell like garbage after one skipped shower. FML
Today, I had to have a discussion with my 54-year-old mother about showering. She thinks it's perfectly OK to shower only once a week. FML
Today, my husband is furious with me for hurting his daughter’s feelings. Neither he nor his ex make her shower and she smells disgusting! It’s nearly impossible to even sit in the same room with her, as her odor changes the smell of the entire space. All I did was suggest a bath and she cried. FML
Today, my daughter continues to have acne breakouts. She’s no longer a teenager, which means she isn’t washing her face. I can’t believe I raised someone who ignores her hygiene to this point. FML
Today, my daughter spent three hours crying and having a temper tantrum over being forced to have a bath after four days without one. My daughter is 16. FML
Today, my mother-in-law started chasing my kids around her house to make them smell her freshly-washed underwear. They were thongs. FML
Today, I made my trans daughter cry when I asked her to shower. I love her and full-throatily support her incredible courage for coming out as trans in the USA, but her hygiene has gone to hell. She smells like a pile of dirty jockstraps and keeps saying, "Women don't stink!" FML
Today, my girlfriend got pissed when I told her she needed to brush her teeth more than once a day. I could smell her breath from across the bed. FML
Today, my mom's obsession with cleanliness hit a new low when she bitched at me for having trash in my trash can. FML

if they are not too old bathe them yourself... if they are old enough make them realise how gross they are being and teach them how to use soap etc.. and just be near the bathroom when they are bathing!

Getting into a screaming match is never a good idea with the mother of your children even if they are wrong. You need to stay calm (not always easy).

Umm I see why she's the EX she sounds really lazy or just stupid and just so ya know thats neglectful abuse, dirty skin attracts bugs like fleas, chiggers and lice and will also make them vulnerable to skin funguses/infections, I know all this personally from having a bad mom trust me she is neglecting those children in other areas too ,call CPS otherwise they will be ridiculed by other kids for their look and smell and when they grow up they will resent both parents one for being a bad parent and the other one for not protecting them from the bad parent.

It is bad for your skin to bathe every day as it keeps the good bacteria from staying on you and it dries your skin out. HOWEVER, that does not apply to if you sweat excessively. The more you sweat, the more you shower. There’s a show on Netflix called Adam Ruins Everything that goes over this as well as provides sources. I’ve also done research on it.
