Today, I found out that my friends from high school have yearly meet-ups to catch up and talk about what they've done since school. They've done this for 3 years. I havent even been invited once. FML

Bass players unite

Today, it's been a year since I graduated high school and nobody, not even my own friends, has hit me up since then. I may as well be dead to them. I was in a band, but I'm now realising they only pretended to be nice to me since I was the only person in the school who knew how to play bass. I haven't talked to a soul other than my family and myself since. FML

I don't think it's unfair of them to catch up with each other and not involve OP. They should be allowed to catch up with whoever they want and not feel obligated to invite someone they don't want.

If in 3 years you haven't hung out with them or remained in steady contact why be butt hurt?

Maybe they are just jealous of you. Especially if you got into a decent uni and they are still working at the servo thinking of going to a TAFE in the future.

Just because you know someone does not make that person your friend.

That's probably because you are so many times more wildly successful than them and they can't handle it... At least that's what I tell myself...

After high school you get to find out who you were actually friends with, and who you were friends with just because you were forced together for four years every day.

you might want to put " " around the word friends.

I'm guessing it's because they're not really your friends.
