Today, I asked my mother to pay back the $50 she owes me. Rather than paying me back, she raced off to "work". She's been unemployed for 3 years. FML

Today, I told my mom I wasn't doing very good mentally and I was looking for some support. She decided to remind me of all of the things I still haven't paid her back for. I'm now an unpaid loan, not her daughter. FML
Today, my mother woke me up and asked to borrow money. Still groggy, I mumbled where my money stash was. She took all $300 and refuses to pay me back because I'm her son and I "owe" her. FML
Today, it's been months that my mom has owed me $174, and every time I ask she tells me she's too poor to pay me back. Girly bought an entire 180k dollar farm with my grandparents the day after I asked (also the money was used for gas, and she guilt tripped me into giving it to her). FML
Today, my mom decided to go against every promise she's made to everyone once again and left us in financial ruin. How? She took advantage of my kindness, and didn't pay any of the money she owes me for driving my car, and for so much more. I'm more than $2,000 in debt now. FML
Today, after years of loaning my mother countless amounts of cash that never get paid back, borrowing $60 from her, and being just one day late paying it off due to food poisoning, she sends a very large man to my door to collect, like she's Tony Soprano. FML
Today, my mom grabbed my phone, said she was taking it because I'd been disrespectful, and hung up my call. I'd been speaking with a work client. This is the gratitude I get for paying all her bills for the past 2 years, all because she's too lazy to get a job. FML
Today, my adult daughter reached out to me, asking to mend our relationship. I told her there would be nothing until she paid me back for what I spent raising her ungrateful self. In response, she laughed at me, said, "Never mind" and flipped me off as she walked out. FML
Today, after months of helping my mother with bills because she claimed she had no money, I found out she makes way more than what I do. She just wanted my money for alcohol and drugs. FML
Today, my mom cleaned out my bank account, saying my "no-good dad" owes her child support and that she'll get it one way or another. FML
Today, my mother asked me if she could borrow $200. Being the lovely daughter I am, I gave her my bank card to withdraw it herself. She gambled it away and maxed my bank account out. I had $1500 saved. FML

Bloody hell you lot are judgmental! 1. OP didnt ask to be born. His mom made that desicion all by herself and therefore OP owes her nothing for any care provided throughout his/her life. Ditto any 'damage' caused from childbirth (dumbass commenter!) 2. Do we know why OP needed the money back? It could have been for anything from lunch money to travel expenses or a bill that needed paying. Knowing that his/her mother is unemployed I seriously doubt they would ask unless they had too. 3. FYL OP as your mom is obviously a waste of space. Instead of being an adult and just saying she couldnt give it to you right now she ran away. If you're a kid I feel doubly sorry for you as she is NOT teaching you a good lesson in repaying money. Anyway, STFU to 99.99% of previous commenters. My parents give us money and never ask for it back. Me and my siblings give each other money and we never ask for it to be payed back. Through my call grant I got $976 (left over money) guess what I did with it? Gave it to my dad. He has done everything for us so why not give him the money. I'd probably spend it on worthless crap anyways. I guess it's different in everyone's family.
