Today, after being told my cellphone was under warranty and would be repaired for free, Samsung received my device, changed their minds, and charged me $636.96 to return my device to me. That's more than the device costs new at this point. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got my phone back after bringing it in to get a crack in the screen repaired. The crack is fixed, but now the touch screen doesn't work and it won't connect to the Internet. I essentially paid to have my phone broken even more. FML
Today, after having lost my phone three days ago, I paid a $150 non-refundable fee to have my phone replaced and mailed to me by Tuesday. A half hour later, I found my original phone. FML
Today, my cell phone service was interrupted because I owed the company 27 cents. It cost 36 dollars to reinstate my service. FML
Today, I stood in line for one hour to get a new phone. It then took me 2 minutes to drop it and shatter the screen, and 2 seconds for the employee to look at, laugh, and tell me, "That Sucks." FML
Error!
Today, I called my cell phone tech support to help with my Samsung device. They sent me contact info for Apple support. FML
Today, after calling the insurance plan for my new iPhone a "huge waste of money", I promptly dropped it in the store while trying to put it into my pocket, cracking the screen. FML
A tale as old as… well, 2007?
Today, I got my phone fixed after the screen had been shattered for four months straight. Then, the moment they handed it to me, it fell straight to the floor and shattered. Again. FML
Today, I got a Samsung Galaxy and opened the box to see a cracked screen. I showed the clerk and she said I must have dropped it. I hadn't moved since she handed me the box. FML
Today, my phone stopped charging. I panicked because I can't really afford to get it fixed, and it's too stressful a time at my last semester at university to not have a phone. I took it to the repair shop, and the man turned it off and on again. it works perfectly. I'm a total idiot. FML
Today, Dell's tech support called to tell me that the laptop I sent to them was going to cost an extra $300 to fix, because of the shattered screen. When I mailed my laptop to them, the touchpad wasn't working. The screen was fine. FML

I feel like you can definitely challenge that and appeal. do you have it in writing or an email of them saying they would do it for free? or did you have a phone conversation which they record for training and monitoring purposes?

Samsungs support ******* sucks.I bought a 65" 4K curve last year, did the firmware update after setting everything up, and it just says it wont connect to the internet after the update, none of the smart apps would work, voice control needs the internet, controlling it through the phone still needs internet. trying to run it wired didnt work either Well i contacted samsung support and they said i had to take it to a service center, then they were unsure they could help me because im in canada. They sent me the names of 2 centers several hours away.Having it serviced would then void my warranty and i would have to pay for the service center to try to fix it.Samsung tried telling me scripted generic responses that were incoherent when i asked questions and the tech support is useless. I fixed the problem myself by updating my routers firmware and and changing the gateway ,DNS subnet mask and ip manually in the tv's wireless settings. contacted samsungs support and asked to speak to the product manager to add my fix to their scripted bs,got a couple coherent responses then they went back to scripted bs. Worst tech support ever Tv looks beautiful tho, but im disappointed in the lack of support to customers that spend thousands on their products.

That’s not how that works. If Samsung charges you it is because there is physical damage to the phone. You also signed a paper before sending in your device that states that if there is any physical damage (also water damage) that you will be charged the retail amount for the device and be sent a new one. So your story is false.

The warranty covers manufacturing issues. Doesn’t cover you dropping it into a toilet. Also thats fraud. Tisk tisk
