42 if she was just tired of waiting its rather understandable if op never mentioned marriage or avoided the topic before. Love is grand and all, but if you feel your lover is beating around the bush then maybe that is the time to call it quicks since the relationship isnt progressing. Although, if that isn't the case op atleast she didn't reject you publicly!
