On the wagon

Today, it's been almost a week since I returned from my vacation to Ireland. Before I rarely drank. Now I'm pretty sure I'm an alcoholic. You might think I'm joking, but I've woken up hungover every day since I landed there. I basically paid to kill my liver and become AA's next poster child. FML

So you're saying rather than take responsibility for your choices, you're blaming a stereotype to justify your problem?

You should have tried to put a limit on the amount of drinks you had.

Ah the Irish. The only people who can keep up with us Scots on alcohol consumption :D. Sounds like you had a good time O.P.

You have obviously not met a redneck.

What about Russians, though?

In Russia alcohol drinks you. So it doesn't count.

Keep up? Keep Up?!?! Oooooh thats an insult

Remember, nobody likes a quitter.

I think you may be overreacting. I find it hard to believe that an addiction like that could develop over the course of just one vacation. Throw away any alcohol you have in your home, read, watch tv, and see how the night goes.

I'd say it's also possible the problem was exacerbated by jet lag.

OP it's your choice to continue to drink, mind over matter. This is coming from someone who was on that slippery road.

Dublin ' your daily intake was not very wise.

Happened to me on my trip to Dublin. I then missed alcohol for weeks :(

So proud to be Irish right now...I think...

You're in Ireland you're supposed to drink! :D

hope this lasts only until vacation lasts..

You went on vacation and drank too much, the place doesn't make a difference. You chose to drink and deserve your hangovers. Embrace them like the rest of us do. Just because you drank a lot on vacation doesn't make you an alcoholic.
