Not prepared enough
Today, I had a maths test and I realised that I'd studied the wrong topics. The teacher said the test would be difficult and I stayed up till 1 a.m. just to be prepared. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I had the worst day of my life. I'd studied science for the whole damn night, only to realize the next morning that it's a math exam. FML
Today, after having spent all of last night studying for an algebra test, I find out that the test was on a completely different chapter of my textbook. FML
Today, I had a very hard and long exam and I was completely prepared for it. I was so confident in my abilities and I'd studied really hard. When I entered the exam hall and took the paper, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my calculator. FML
Today, I failed a calculus exam because I simply was too burnt out to study for it. I have not wanted to even look at a math problem since the beginning of the year, and I procrastinate all day instead of doing work, and it leads me here, typing at 2 a.m. to random strangers while having to get up tomorrow at 7. FML
Today, I found out that I have been studying for the wrong final exam. One more hour until the test. FML
Today, I failed my maths exam because of one single question, which I have been practicing for months and gotten very good at it. It was the first question… however, when the exam started, I forgot it all. FML
Today, I studied all night for a big test. I ended up falling asleep on the bus ride there. I woke up in a different province. FML
Today, disappointed with my results on a mathematics test, I went over it and realized my teacher had added up the marks incorrectly, leaving me with 17% less than I earned. The person who's supposed to be teaching me math can't even perform basic arithmetic. FML
Today, I just studied for 13.5 hours completely outlining a book for history. Thirty minutes before the test, I realized I had been reading the wrong book. FML
Today, I cheated on my math exam. I still failed. FML

Did you prepare to fail or fail to prepare? The good thing is when those topics are covered, you'll ace that test and counterbalance the clusterfuck you're about to endure.

Even programmers google solutions. I don’t think i’ve seen an expert not look a difficult thing up or do research. Even the best lawyers have to hit the books sometime in their career to do a job. The issue here is that the person didn’t even bother to ask the teacher the scope of what is covered to study. This is minimal life skills. If I’m expected to fix a computer for a bad hard drive, i don’t go research how water dams are built, do I? C’mon, get it together. At least you aren’t a rocket scientist. I’d be afraid you’d install a boat engine and then act surprised when it crashes down due to improper engines installed since you didn’t check to see it wasn’t a boat you were launching beforehand.

YDI. you should study all the time and not just for tests.

studying all the time is great if you can remember it all. otherwise studying from the time you know what the test will outline is significantly easier and more reliable for most people. I know they say calculators wont be around to save you at work...but they are, most bosses want the use of a calculator because doing math in your head is a neat trick... but they want the right answer even if you have to Google it...
