Not a great start
Today, I went to a "party" with the boy whom I'm interested in. It was the first time I met his friends. Turns out he and all his friends are hardcore Christians who don't drink and are celibate. FML

Just because someone's celibate doesn't mean they plan on never having sex, or don't like it (that's basically being asexual, and there are a lot of asexual people in the world) it just means that they're waiting until marriage to have sex. Before you judge someone for their beliefs, try to learn and understand what their beliefs really are... Instead of just being ignorant

Bleh, my apologies for my last comment 141. I got abstinence and celibacy confused. Neither the bible or any guidelines in Christianity say that sex is bad entirely and shouldn't be done period. If that was the case no one would be here xD Anyways, celibacy means that they refrain from marriage and sex entirely. So they wouldn't be more likely to get a divorce since they wouldn't get married in the first place. Yes, sex is "important" in human relationships but so is a human's decision to never have sex.. Just a thought :3

I feel your pain. I don't drink, but I wouldn't even consider dating a hardcore christian who won't have sex. Well, I wouldn't date a believer, even if he would, but anyway. And before someone starts a flame war against me, let me clarify that people can believe in flying pink elephants for all I care. As long as I'm not expected to take their thoughts seriously. Quite funny that someone called you shallow for being unpleasantly surprised. There are tons of people who are far from shallow and still have a drink or two every once and a while and enjoy having a sex life.
