Nagging

Today, I found out that my husband never wanted to marry me, he only did because I wouldn't quit pestering him to propose to me. FML

Well YDI for being pushy

And you thought it was ok for you to keep nagging him to propose to you while you were dating? Ugh! I know women like that.....the kind who believe that having a wedding ring on their finger is some sort of a life accomplishment so they keep hinting their boyfriends that they should get married.......they annoy me so much! How about having a bit of respect for yourself and value yourself as a woman, not as someone's wife! YDI.

if you have to pester him to marry you, isn't it obvious he doesn't want to?

aren't you all the same people who blasted the guy who married the suicidal girl? make up your minds.

Well aren't you a pair: a woman who pushes someone to get what she wants regardless of how they feel, and a man without the stones to tell you to shut it and leave if you were that desperate. I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years, and although we've discussed marriage some, never once have I bugged him about it or asked for a ring. It'll happen if/when it happens, and because we BOTH want it to. Maybe if you'd have shut up about it (or if he'd actually said that beautiful little word - no), he either would have come to a point where he wanted to marry you, or you'd have split and you'd both actually be happy now.

stop trying to get sympathy. FHisLife for you being a needy trap face

YDI x 100000. People should get married because they BOTH want to and love each other; not because one of them wants to have a fancy wedding and "be married" because everyone else is doing it (which is often the case when a woman pesters a man to marry her)

Wow, I've heard of girls doing freaky sexual things to trap a man, but I can't believe you annoyed a guy into marrying you, you must be something

Wow that takes major skill to break a mans will into marrying out of pure pestering him. YDI. just be greatful that you got what you were after you Blit

#87, no, it's not wrong to want to be married and have a traditional family. It IS wrong, however, to make that the only priority of your entire existence and lose track of reality around you. I've seen women get obsessed over this subject and completely forget that there's a lot more to life than just being somebody's wife. So, it's OK to want. It's not OK to make that your only goal in life.

Wow, although I have never even dated before, I know pressuring someone into doing something is never the way to go.
