Today, I went out on a first date with a cute guy. Turns out we won't be going on a date again because I didn't know the difference between "Star Wars" and "Star Trek." FML

So ? Maybe scifi is a big part of his life. All my friends and I ever talk about is Doctor Who. [We occasionally take a break to talk about Batman, Star Wars or video games. :P] In that case, you wouldn't have had anything in common, and YOU probably would've dumped HIM for being nerdy. Personally, I don't like wasting my time. I know what I want in a man, and if we don't have anything in common I won't pursue the relationship. Not knowing the difference between something as culturally relevant as Star Trek and Star Wars sends out a HUGE red flag for me. Sorry, hun.
