Today, my brother tried to give my dog a walk by attaching an RC helicopter to the leash and following him while flying it. He broke the RC helicopter which cost 300 dollars, and we had to search for the dog for 3 hours. FML

Today, my dog ate my little brother's medication. I spent all morning trying to make him throw it up, but it wasn't working so I took him to the animal hospital, which was in a different city. $150 in poison control and vet bills later, I found the pill we thought he ate stuck under his paw. FML
Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML
Today, I was walking my dog when I tripped on the leash, dropping his treat bag. He snatched one, looked at me, and ran full speed in the opposite direction. I had to chase him for three blocks, yelling his name. He thought it was a new game. FML
Today, my boyfriend finally let me take his dog on a walk, after two years of not trusting me to keep her safe. During the walk, a car drove by, causing her to run after it and pulling the leash out of my hand. Five hours later, and I still can't find her. FML
Today, I was talking to my brother about how careless people are. Minutes later, I shocked myself with my dog's shock-collar. FML
Today, my brother and I found a little bird that couldn't fly. While trying to convince my mom that it couldn't fly so we could keep it, I lightly tossed it in the air and it landed a few feet in front of me. Then my cat grabbed it and ate it. FML
Today, I went off-roading with a group of people. I'd been to wearing a $250 hat while my brother was driving at least 60mph in the dirt, it flew off my head. When I returned to go retrieve it, someone had taken it. FML
Today, I finally decided to get a dog. I have always been wanting to get one ever since I was a child. I bought a $1,400 Golden Retriever. I went out for lunch a few hours later with a friend, so I left my dog in the backyard. I came back home to a broken fence and no dog. FML
Today, I paid $5000 for a new fence in my backyard for my dogs. My dog escaped three hours after the contractor finished the fence. FML
Today, I bought a fancy automatic ball launcher for my dog. When I demonstrated it, my dog watched the ball fly through the air, then charged at the launcher instead, thinking it was the toy. FML

He has a point! But a helicopter would be to weak an unstable. What about one of those toy remote controlled jeeps! It could probably handle small dogs if engendered right. Design it so you can program your neighborhoods path, and now if your sick or tired, just have that take your dog! Given your dog could be stolen easily and the car could run out of battery or something, but it is pretty innovative!

I have pomeranians and they would cower in fear if there was an RC heli any where near them so I can imagine they would poop all over themselves if you attached them to one.

Creative in intent but idiotic in outcome. I don't know how your brother didn't foresee this happening, regardless of his age. Any dog owner or dog-owning family knows that dogs tug incessantly on their leashes and require a fair amount of resistance strength to keep them from running off. It's kinda obvious lol

A properly trained dog won't tug on it's leash at all, but will simply walk along next to or right behind it's owner without trying to run off. The leash should be there only as a corrective device, and for, well, legal reasons. That said, I wonder how long it would take to train a dog to walk next to a RC helicopter, I can't imagine the dog would like the noise all that much.
