This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff

Historical accuracy
Today, I had to explain to my 15-year-old son why it wouldn't be a good idea to include a picture of the red Power Ranger in his "Weapons throughout history" project. FML

How dare you. Jason Lee Scott saved the world so many times. Power Rangers need to be mentioned.

You don't understand. Not only was it not completely original, it wasn't original AT ALL. They copied Super Sentai in every way - the scripts, the characters, even the scenes where the Power Rangers were in costume. All they did was translate it and refilm the parts where you could see the actors.

LOL I just read this out loud to my 50+ year old mother, and even she asked, "Why?" lmao Good question - Power Rangers are classics, and they're an important part of history! Tell you what, compromise with your son - say he can include it, but he has to include in a separate section dedicated to fictional characters and their weapons. TMNT might also work, but all their weapons exist in real life, so that might not work.

Was it Tommy as the Red Zeo Ranger or Red Turbo Ranger? If not, your son will fail. Best dang Ranger ever, right there.
