Headshot

Today, I went to a parade. While I was there, I ran into my ex and his new girlfriend. Trying to prove I was over him, I tried to act like I was oblivious to them and having a great time. I turned around, only for a piece of candy to hit me square me in the eye. FML

You can tell your friends you got hit on by a piece of eye candy in front of your ex and his new girlfriend

reminds me of the simpsons movie *lots and lots of beef jerky*

U should have gone up and talked to them, that proves u r really the bigger person

you shouldn't have to act completely oblivious to prove you're over him. you could've just said hi and acted civilized, despite how bad your breakup was.

I completely agree. If Op really wanted to act like she was over him she should've walked right over and said hi, making a point to be really nice to the girlfriend. Be the mature one Op. Pretending you don't see them doesn't look like you're over him.

I guess that parade had more eye candy than you bargained for.

Everything about this screams "teenage relationship." YDI. People who are over their exes don't feel the need to prove it.

If you were really over him, you wouldn't of felt the need to prove it to him. Sucks about the candy though.

"Hit me square me" haha little typo there
