Shoutout1011 · 15 April 2017, 22:00 Today, my 6-month-old daughter decided she'd scream every time I'd answer her cries instead of her daddy. He just left for a 12-hour shift at work. Only 11 more hours to go. FML I agree, your life sucks 4 660 You deserved it 482 9 comments Share
Anonymous · 6 August 2021, 22:01 Save yourself Today, I had to offer my boyfriend a no-hard-feelings opportunity to just leave. He never wanted to be a dad, but since we accidentally got pregnant and had our son, I’ve watched his mental health go downhill so fast I was afraid he’d kill himself if he kept forcing himself to stay with us. Anonymous · 29 August 2023, 06:00 Easy life Today, my boyfriend is sulking because he actually thought two weeks paternity leave was going to be our new baby sleeping 18 hours a day while he played his Xbox, and get paid not to go to work every day. He was wrong, it’s been three days, and he’s exhausted already and whining. FML I agree, your life sucks 959 You deserved it 260 3 comments Share

Anonymous · 1 October 2023, 14:00 ·Altrincham, United Kingdom Knackered Today, I got home after working 14 hours completely exhausted and found my wife asleep, after not sleeping for at least 4 nights with our newborn. She woke up and couldn’t remember where she'd left the baby. After a mad panic, she remembered that he's with her mother. We are not coping very well. michelle · 15 November 2015, 15:21 ·Amsterdam, Netherlands Today, while my husband was at work, he missed our son saying his first word ("Dada"), taking his first steps and smashing the widescreen TV with a well-aimed teddy bear. Care to guess which of these three things made my husband cry. FML I agree, your life sucks 23 416 You deserved it 2 878 85 comments Share

He needs serious help if he’s like this SIX DAYS into parenthood. I hope you can be strong for the kiddo.

Could just be a shock to his system. I struggled early on with both my kids, but I’m widely regarded as a good dad.

Don't bet on it. He probably isn't going to make it.

That first adjustment period is hard, only gets easier. So glad maternity/paternity leave is standard where I live.
