Freak out
Today, my grandma posted an embarrassing childhood photo on my school's events page. I told her everyone could see it, and asked if she could take it down. She freaked and commented on it, apologizing for posting it. Now I feel guilty for embarrassing her, and it's still on the page. FML

At least you have a nice grandmother. Clearly she didn't mean any harm. Sorry that it's still up though OP

Maybe just try teaching her how to remove it OP. I'm sure she won't feel as bad as she would if she can't figure it out at all. Good luck!

I had this happen to me a few years ago. My mom tends to be picture crazy and thinks that I shouldn't care if a picture of me as a naked child goes up. In this case, you can just tell her how to take it down or (maybe) log into her account to do it for her. In my case, I spent a weekend going through all my old pictures in the house, taking the ones I didn't like or want to be shared. I had to go on her computer, remove the pictures I disliked, and even her FB. It was tedious and ******* annoying. But it worked.

Is that even allowed? My cousins picture got reported(wasn't taken down though) because it was her child in a swim suit. Even if allowed, I don't see why you'd do that considering it could be used by perverse individuals..

People who are attracted to children are very rare and far between. I'm not going to sexualize my own child by tailoring my posts to pedophiles. Everything can be sexualized. Basically, you're stating that a naked child is inherently sexual just because VERY FEW people sexualize them. Naked children are adorable and I believe there's nothing wrong with posting pictures of them to Facebook if the person being featured doesn't mind, otherwise it's a no go. I may not exactly think that posting it to a school website is a good idea considering naked baby pictures aren't necessarily professional.

I don't like the idea of me being naked online. I also don't tend to post pictures of myself that are not flattering or professional. Even if this is a picture of me as a child, I do not think people have a right to post whatever of people without their permission. There is nothing wrong with naked children, I don't think there should be any shame in nakedness. However, it is not fair to post naked/embarrassing pictures of your children without their consent.

You should teach her the ropes of social media

Best way to deal with embarrassment is laugh about it. Confidence is key.

They say that the only person who notices you're having a bad hair day is yourself.

Grandmas and technology never mix.

If you are not naked then don't worry about it. Hell if you are naked, don't worry about it. Only useless pieces of shit would judge you for a childhood picture

Can't you report the image to be removed?

I'm so happy my mom doesn't have any embarrassing photos of me, but she enjoys telling stories. Last time she was allowed near my classmates was about 40 years ago.
