Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my boyfriend told me he doesn't think he should marry me, because I have kids. They're his kids. FML
Today, my "boyfriend" told me that he loves money more than me and would date it if he could. FML
Today, my boyfriend went to work instead of going to my father's funeral. He works at home and chooses his own hours. FML
Today, my husband told me he'd changed his mind and no longer wants children. We already have two kids. FML
Today, my husband is mad at me. Why? The family from his brother's wife's side isn't lifting a finger to help during her pregnancy. Observing this, I informed him that I would not be supporting her post-delivery, as my job and my kids are my priority. He thinks I offended him and his family for some reason. FML
Today, the guy I've been dating said we couldn't see each other anymore because he needed to focus on his career. He's unemployed. FML
Today, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to end my engagement after my fiancé agreed to let several of his obnoxious family members move in without even asking me. He says 'family over everything' but what does that make me? To make matters harder, I just found out I’m pregnant. FML
Today, my husband yet again procrastinated on a project for so long, that he now has to work during the weekend. When I asked whether or not we could still spend some free time together, he started ranting about how I ruin his career. He seriously thinks it's about us and not his horrible planning skills. FML
Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
Today, I tried convincing my husband to spend his day off work with me because we both work a lot, and have almost no time to spend together. His literal response was, “I’d rather pick a shift up at work.” FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?

okay, there needs to be more info on this. If he's the only one or the one who makes the majority to keep you alive then he is right, you will end up in the streets if he puts more focus on family than work, no guy likes it that way but they deeply care about you and don't want to see you guys in the street, now if its the other way around it doesn't matter, he would have time to focus on family a bit. 2 kids bleed money no matter the age so he needs to focus on work. It also depends on his position, if he works a lot of hours in a very serious job he can't just drop a bit because they are ready to drop him no matter what. If he has the time to focus on family then screw him but if it's the latter then he is in the right.

It’s a losing move to try to make an income earner choose between their career and their family. It’s a false choice - both are important. And a person can have both. Without a career and a job it’s economic disaster. Without your family it’s a lonely existence. OP instead of asking your fiancé to choose between his work and you learn how to appreciate both sides of your fiancé.

Tell him if he truly means that, get ready to live the life he's always wanted and soon work WILL be all he has, because you will leave him and take the kids with you.He needs to figure out his damn priorities. If that doesn't wake him up, nothing ever will.

Tell him he can leave as long as he keeps providing spousal and child support payments. Then, look for a man.

depends on the situation. is a kid in the hospital? is it their birthday party? if not, then work is more important. how will you keep a place to live and food to eat otherwise?!

that's a horrible feeling. I can see a few jobs being that important, but only a very few. it really depends on what he does and how long hes done it. if this is something you signed up for ydi, but if this situation was forced on you, walk away as soon as you can.
