Anonymous · 31 January 2021, 02:01 Eco-friendly Today, my colleague heated 1,5 liters of water, waited visibly impatient the several minutes it took to boil, made himself one cup of tea, then poured the rest down the drain. Maximum amount of time and energy wasted in one go? Check. FML I agree, your life sucks 910 You deserved it 122 5 comments Share
Potty-Pot · 23 January 2017, 10:00 Today, my flatmate took his hour plus long shower while we both tried to get ready for work. I had a choice to wet myself or pee in a cooking pot. I chose the pot. FML I agree, your life sucks 6 158 You deserved it 662 43 comments Share
Agamar · 23 February 2016, 05:00 ·Skokie, United States Today, I was so sleep deprived that while making instant oatmeal, I poured the oats into the garbage and put the empty packet in a bowl, then microwaved it for 2 minutes. Rordon Gamsey · 2 August 2022, 16:00 Kitchen daydream Today, I was "that idiot" who spent ages making a soup stock from meat and vegetables, but then while separating it forgot to put a pan under the strainer, so I poured the finished stock down the sink, leaving me with only the boiled meat and veg sat sadly in the strainer. Takeaway chinese for tea, then. FML I agree, your life sucks 802 You deserved it 435 1 comment Share
Powerless · 30 August 2012, 06:05 ·Australia Today, I had a planned 12-hour power cut for maintenance work, which I'd forgot all about. In need of a shower before work, I spent 45 minutes boiling pots of water on the stove to take a lukewarm, 6-inch deep bath, before realizing my water heater runs on natural gas and was working fine. Anonymous · 18 April 2021, 21:30 ·Ballarat, Australia Classic brain fart Today, I lovingly simmered a chicken carcass, vegetables and spices to make soup. Two hours it took. After all that, I mindlessly strained out the chicken bones and let the soup pour straight down the sink. FML I agree, your life sucks 1 134 You deserved it 607 3 comments Share
Anonymous · 30 August 2011, 22:38 ·United States Today, as I was making instant hot chocolate from the hot water dispenser in the break-room at work, a coworker informed me that it was industrial "recycled" wastewater that was only supposed to be used for washing tools. Thanks. I've only been doing that every day for the past 8 months. FML I agree, your life sucks 31 114 You deserved it 5 283 136 comments Share

logic · This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff ·United Kingdom One rule for thee… Today, I was asked by my live-in landlord not to put too much water in the kettle because it made the utility bills too high. This is the same woman who takes daily baths. FML I agree, your life sucks 22 764 You deserved it 2 301 66 comments Share
Anonyme · This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff ·Switzerland Gnarly Today, my girlfriend bought several packs of bottled water, even though we have pure mountain water on tap. She did this because the pile-up of unwashed dishes in the sink makes it virtually impossible to slide a glass under the tap. Anonymous · 29 April 2013, 07:25 ·France Today, I wanted revenge on my college's drinks machine. For the past two days, it forgot to release a cup before pouring my coffee. This time, I had planned ahead; I put my money in, entered the code, and quickly inserted my own cup. It gave me hot water. FML I agree, your life sucks 53 155 You deserved it 6 305 1 comment Share
