Dyslexics untie!
Today, after finding out from my psychologist that I have a disability in reading comprehension, I tried to Google how to improve my reading skills. I couldn't understand what any of the articles were saying. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I told my therapist that I read FML for relaxation and entertainment. She asked what FML is, then told me stop reading this website, as my life is bad enough, knowing other's experiences would actually increase my level of anxiety. FML
Today, I've known that I'm dyspraxic for a long time. It was a real eye-opener when I found out about it, but there's still one problem: the majority of the population seems to be incapable of understanding the condition. I still get bullied for not being able to do simple tasks, even with the diagnosis. FML
Today, I had to google the definition of transsexual just to know what the hell my friends were talking about. I need to read a book. FML
Today, I have learned a lot of "big" words from reading so much, but can actually only pronounce about half of them correctly. FML
Today, my mother-in-law 'corrected' me while I was trying to help her father with his Parkinson's medication. She went on and on about how she read on the internet about it. I'm a neurologist, but no, she knows better after a Google search. FML
Today, I had a vulnerable day, which led me to being scammed 2400 dollars, worried about something that a simple Google search and five seconds of reading would've rectified. FML
Today, I realised that my social anxiety, fear of people's judgment, social isolation, you name it, have got so bad that I literally have no interests. It got to such a point that I even have nothing to search up in the internet, so I just stare at an empty browser page wondering what should I do with my life. FML
Today, I got to endure another "fun" team-building personality test. Like usual, it said I was defensive and using a belief that I can't follow conversations. I literally can't due to auditory processing issues. My coworkers keep assuring me it's safe to open up. Fuck psychology. FML
Today, I went to see my gynecologist. She was writing my symptoms up in my chart on her computer. After a little while, I noticed that she had a confused look on her face and was reading something instead. When I took a peek at the computer screen, I saw that she was Googling my symptoms. FML
Today, after decades of 24/7 cognitive impairment and being made to feel like a hypochondriac by many doctors over the years, I learned I have a severe physical illness. I kept researching and discovered my own illness, found out which test to ask for, and finally showed doctors proof. FML

Accessibility options in windows has a screen reader that might be able to help you with that. I dunno how good it is, but it's probably worth a look at least.

When you read a book, every now and then ask yourself what you think will happen on the next page. After you have thought about it, continue reading until you reach a point where you see whether you were right. Think about whether you were right or wrong, (example “I was totally right that character was the killer! I knew I would be because of these clues!” Or, “I was totally wrong about that character being the killer! What clues did I miss?” Also, after each chapter, or couple of chapters, think back on the main points of the story so far. Do this throughout the book/story. When you finish the whole book or story, write a few sentences (either in your computer or on paper). Pretend you are telling someone about the story as if they have never read it, and you have to tell them enough important things about what the story is about to get them to read it too. These different tasks will help with your reading comprehension, and eventually you will be able to retell the story, main points, etc without effort. Hope this helps!
