Dumdum moment

Today, after my car died a mile from my house, I huffed, puffed and pushed it back to my house off the street, so I wouldn't get a ticket overnight. After getting it towed to the shop in the morning, I got a call telling me they put gas in it for me and it starts up fine now. FML

Every car I've ever driven had a light that informed me I had 50kms of driving range or so before the gas tank was truly empty. YDI

is your gas gauge broken?

I bet they had an ID-10T form for you to sign when you picked it up.

🤣

Even with a broken gauge, you should have a general awareness of whether the tank is getting low. You should have checked that before pushing.

A whole mile? Sounds like you aren't great at gauging time and distance.

I’m going to guess that you already tried putting gas in it and that didn’t work.
