Don't get it

Today, my fiancée called off our wedding at the last moment, because her neurotic sister thinks she's "too fat" to be the maid of honor, and says she needs several months to lose weight. So that's a few thousand dollars wasted. My fiancée says I'm "overreacting" and that I "just don't get it". FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

This is a sign. Run now while you can.

Ask your fiancée why she didn't just tell her sister she looked great and that she wasn't fat instead of non verbally agreeing with her sisters thought by giving her time to lose weight.

Still sounds like you're justifying it.

Make the fat bitch pay for it

Woudn't touch that with a 20m pole! Take it as a sign and run!

Get away while you can, or else you'll lose everything you own in a divorce "several months", a wedding, and a day from now.

refuse to put any money into the next ceremony

I would just cancel the entire wedding and make her sister pay for all the non-refundable things that were already paid for.

it not her sisters day...she should've sucked it up and ignored like the rest of us do...

There's some truly messed up people on this planet.

Call it off for good, man. Leave now!!

Hell no you aren't overreacting, I'd be inconsolably pissed off. Unless her sister is planning on paying for the entirety of a future wedding, then cut your losses and move on. I think you should marry someone who will stand up for you and your wishes.
