Today, my 75 year-old grandparents, who stubbornly refuse to be vaccinated, asked me to pick up their meds after they got COVID. I left work early to avoid the pharmacy line. After dropping them off, their pharmacy called: they didn't give me all of the meds, so I had to go back and wait another two hours in line. FML

Today, I was that person in the pharmacy that held the line up for 25 minutes. When I got home, I realized I left my prescriptions in the shopping cart in the store's parking lot. FML
Today, I spent ages at CVS waiting for a flu shot. The main cause of holdup was a disagreement between the pharmacist and the insurance company over 4 cents. FML
Today, I scrambled to get out of work on the dot to go to a special pharmacy that closes at 5 pm an hour away. I arrived at 4:58. Upon reaching the door, one of the employees came and locked it in my face. Apparently, her going home early was more important than me getting my medication. FML
Today, I called in a refill for a vital medication that I've been on since a couple of decades ago. No big deal since I called a week in advance. I then received a notification that the specific medication is out of stock at the moment, and they won't have another set ready for four days. FML
Today, I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and waited in line for fifteen minutes. When I got to the counter, the pharmacist couldn't find my name anywhere. I checked my phone and realized I'd gone to the wrong branch. FML
Today, where I work at a pharmacy, we were short staffed and running 4 hours behind. A lady came to drop off a new prescription. When I explained to her the wait time, she called the patient. I heard, "No, they don't look busy." Like, really? FML
Today, I was in a grocery store with my great-grandmother. It would've been nice to know she hadn't taken her medication before she started beating the cashier with her umbrella. FML
Today, there was a long queue at the store, and behind me were two senior citizens. I wanted to do a good deed, so I said, "Cut before me in line, I have all the time in the world." My reward? The old man scolded me because I supposedly insinuated that they were old, and only had a short time left to live. FML
Today, someone at work took my delicate medication out of the fridge to make room for their lunch. Now my medication has expired. FML
Today, I was yelled at by a customer because I couldn't tell her where the vitamins were in the pharmacy. The manager came and yelled at me for being lazy and incompetent. I work in the store across the street from the pharmacy. FML

Yes they might still get it, BUT they also have a much milder case or no symptoms at all, rather than ICU/intubated or ya know.. dead. I'd rather get a little shot and have a much milder case than ignore health recommendations of people that have been in the field for decades than listen to some dumb but t on youtube about Do yOuR OwN ReSeArcH.

Yeah they do. They get the sniffles and bounce back, rather than take up hospital resources and ICU beds so tons of other people die because hospitals are too overwhelmed to perform life-saving surgeries. Pull. Your. Head. Out. Of. Your. *******. Ass. WAKE THE **** UP.

I went to get the booster and the line in the pharmacy and the drive thru was all backed up because there were only two people working.

People like your grandparents are why this pandemic won't go away. Think about it - smallpox, polio, Spanish influenza, all major pandemics that were eradicated when everyone - EVERYONE - got vaccinated against them. With COVID, even if you are vaccinated, you can still get it by coming into contact with a person who isn't vaccinated. If everyone got their shots, the likelihood of the virus spreading would decrease significantly, and eventually the thing would die out completely. This coming from someone who absolutely hates/is terrified of needles. Make them get their own damn medicine.
