Bad sitter
Today, I was taking care of a friend's hamster. Thinking the hamster wanted to make a bed, I put some cotton balls in his cage so he would be comfy. He promptly ate them and died. FML

actually 103 you are wrong too. it had nothing to do with a lawsuit. perry was initially going to spell it the same way. considering that artists have songs by the same name all the time. there is no law against it if it's a different song. the reason she spelled it that way was in tribute to a Rick band called big star who had recently lost one of their members and was a reference to a song the did called September gurls

YDI. If you're going to pet-sit, make sure you get full instructions and then follow them. It's just like babysitting-- no "creativity" allowed with the essentials. Although the owner kind of deserves it too, for not finding someone a little more responsible and/or willing to do some research prior to pet-sitting. Poor hammie. :[ This is why I'm glad my vet tech SIL loves to watch my pets, even if she gets a little paranoid about potential "warning signs." It's worth a reassuring trip to the vet afterward if I know my buddies are safe.

It should be the owner who makes sure of that, not the person doing them a favour. I care about my pets, so if anyone looks after them, I make sure I explain everything, and leave a list of dos and don'ts. it's the owners YDI. not the OPs.
