Today, after finally getting rid of an extremely rude, abusive customer, I muttered that I could kill people like her. I didn't know my manager had heard me, until a pair of police officers arrived. He'd reported me for "threatening to murder a customer". FML

Wow, if I were you I'd kill for a new boss.

I can't believe your manager would actually think your were serious about something like that. Hopefully you didn't get into too much trouble. Might want to rethink your place of employment.

After working in retail and banking for most of my life, I've become a master at talking shit about asshole customers. Sometimes right in front of them.

I don't think your manager likes you very much.

Welcome to the era of the thought police. You guys have 5000 ISIS fighters from your country, but the police are busy shaking down an irritated employee.

FYL, OP. I know how it feels to always have to act like the customer is right even when they are the biggest dick. And it def withy doesn't help that your manager seem insane. But if you explained yourself, I'm pretty sure the cop would know it was no reason to come.

"I could kill" is not the same as "I will kill". The customer needs to understand this.

Mutter the same thing by the chief police about the manager.

If making off hand comments such as those could get me in actual trouble I'd be doing back to back life sentences

Your manager sounds like an idiot. People say stuff like this all the time out of frustration. "Grr, I could just kill people like her!" is not a death threat, it's a common expression...

Wow he's taking his job a little to seriously..
