Vindictive

Today, I was pulled over by the police. The cop was my ex-boyfriend. He had no legitimate reason to pull me over, so he thoroughly checked my car. He gave me a defect notice and a fine. What for? A broken door lock, on my rear passenger door. FML

Report his bacon ass! He shouldn't abuse his power

Isn't that unlawful harassment? If you can prove you had a relationship and he's bitter, you should sue him and the city! Cha-ching!!! $$$

Never date cops. It's an unwritten rule. :)

In Australia a cop can pull you over for no legitimate reason. A thorough search of a car without legitimate reason is not allowed but a cop can evade this claim if he or she found something. She can sue but it wouldn't go anywhere.

Isn't that illegal??? Sue that dumbfuck bastard.

He can't legally get away with that take it to court and he'll be sure to get in trouble

I don't see a conflict on interest anywhere, said sarcastically

That's illegal though. You can't pull someone over for that. You must dispute that in court!

fruityloops, in Australia police have the right to pull you over for a random breath or drug test or if the vehicle is suspected defective or suspicious, and if they notice a suspicious object in the vehicle, they have the right to search. its supposed to make it safer for cops or some sh*t but it's a load of bull if you ask me.

That's illegal, just wait for the court date and tell them what happened.

This is a pretty clear-cut case of harassment. Take it to court--but first, take it to the newspaper and your local TV/radio station. You'd be surprised what a little pressure can do.
