Today, my vegan step-mom found out I ate at McDonald's yesterday. She gave me hell and asked me how it feels to give money to "murderers". All while my dad sat quietly by because he's too whipped to speak his mind. It wasn't even her house a month ago. FML

That sucks.... stand up for yourself even if your dad won't! I have a step mom who came in and did the same thing almost 20 years ago and to this day, my dad has yet to locate his balls. -_-

I'd turn around and say "oh, it feels great to eat the delicous cooked flesh. Why do you ask?". But I am just a sarcastic barstard like that though.

Simply refer to vegan meals in as animal equivalents. Please pass the pea fetuses, more decapitated lettuce skin please, any more grape blood, some yummy diced tomato uterus please, looking for severed and flayed carrot legs.

That is awesome! I am going to start calling my vegetables this.

She's only your STEPmom. She has very little right to speak to you like that and control you, so you (in this particular case) have very much a right to tell her to stfu and mind her own god damn business.

Lol I would've slapped her and told her not to speak to me unless she was spoken to. That's all nut jobs like that deserve

This happened to me a while ago.

Should have said, "I'm lovin' it."

"It felt really good and if you don't shut up, you'll be next" perhaps? :P

I have nothing against vegans..but tell her not to force her fcuking cult down your throat or you will choke her in her sleep with a piece of steak lol.. Respect her for being vegan and she should show reciprocity. But your dad tho...seriously lol.

As you can tell by my screen name I'm vegan. Sorry she was so rude to you. I understand being passionate about a cause, but treating people badly because of it is just wrong. Lots of vegans forget that having compassion for all living beings means your fellow humans too. Call a family meeting and have a (calm and polite) discussion about this. Tell her you respect her decision to be vegan, but you're just not there yet. (No need to mention if you have no intention of ever becoming veg) Ask for her to also show respect for the road you're on. Good luck.

I hate when people force their personal behaviors and/or beliefs on other people. People are free to live the way they want to, but they need to respect the fact that not everyone shares their opinions. I would tell your step-mother that. She has no right to judge or condemn you.
