I don't mean to rain on the parade, but maybe you only "think" it's just fine? A lot of relationships do end up being one-sided, you know. I mean, it's always a possibility. I'm not trying to bring you down or wish you bad luck or anything. I'm just saying. Unless everything truly is all fine with your marriage. Then, by all means, feel free to ignore me, and your parents too.

I feel for you. My mother-in-law always asks my wife if she's putting money aside so when she wakes up. She can divorce me. Her mother has never liked me, I don't kiss her ass or run every decision we make by her. We've been together 16 years, married 11.

Plenty of people don't get along with their in-laws. Have fun with it, play pranks on your parents, make a dumb situation fun! Argue in front of them then turn around and laugh about it, as long as you and your wife are happy, what's the issue?
