Today, my parents have separated. I stayed with them, living at home far too long for my own comfort, just to help them keep it together after they lost their remaining parents. Literally the month after I moved out, they decided it wasn't worth it. I now suspect they stayed together only because I still lived at home. FML

Today, both my mom and dad agreed I basically ruined their life by existing. They weren’t even trying to be mean, they just casually mentioned that their lives were brilliant before me, then after I was born everything turned to shit and they’ve been miserable ever since. FML

If this is true and not just another rage bait comment, what did you have to gain by keeping your parents apart? You'd end up getting a smaller inheritance if they live separately their whole lives, and now probably ZERO inheritance for being such an evil scumbag.
