Today, my mother sent a letter to my best friend trying to comfort her over the death of her mother. She signed the letter "LOL, Jen" thinking LOL stood for "lots of love." FML

Today, my estranged mother texted me saying, "Gran died, LOL." My grandmother and I were fairly close, so I was shocked and disgusted. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked if she knew what "LOL" meant. She did. FML

lmao! I used to tell people lol meant lots of love as a joke, then I'd jokingly say it to everyone who said something funny (as if I was saying the real 'lol', even though I don't say lol out loud) and people would think I'm weird. lmao
