Today, my mom accused me of having an eating disorder, and I didn't correct her. Truth is, I lost weight after I went off the pill a year ago. I'm too embarrassed to tell my mom that I haven't had anyone in a year. FML

Today, after I skipped dessert for the third day in a row, my mom cornered me and accused me of being anorexic. I'm actually not far off being clinically obese and I'm just trying to diet, but nothing I say will convince her. She wants me to see a psychiatrist about a disorder I don't even have. FML

Today, a coworker complimented me on losing weight, and said that she wished she could drop a few pounds too. I was too embarrassed to tell her that the only reason I've lost weight is because I haven't been able to afford to eat. FML

Today, I felt sick to my stomach, so I told my mother I didn't want to eat dinner. She started accusing me of being anorexic, so I ate a little bit anyway to make her stop. I then threw up, only for her to take it as confirmation that I have an eating disorder. FML

Today, I told my mom that I'm bulimic and have been for a few years, and that I needed help. She responded by saying, "Well that's clearly not working for you. Why don't you try anorexia?" She then patted me on the head, smiled, and walked away. FML

Today, I told my mom that I think I’m anorexic and she told me she didn’t care. When I asked why, in disbelief she replied, "Honey, you are 5’3 and over 350 lbs, at this point you NEED to be anorexic." FML

Yeah...are you sure your mother would prefer that (she thinks that) you have an eating disorder, or that you haven't had sex in a year? I would think it would be the latter...but yeah, if she's really that concerned, it's probably best to tell her the true cause of your weight loss

14 - you dumb shit. Way take grade 5 health class way too seriously. But hey, I guess that's all you learned about birth control. No one is that regular, and you can get pregnant any time during your cycle. If you disagree with me, why don't you start reading accounts of people who only had sex during their period and got pregnant. Well done, you know about the woman's body, according to elementary school sexual education. Way to not know anything about any other kind of MUCH more effective birth control. I hope your unprotected sex serves you well.

I'm with 55- eating disorders are really serious, and should not be joked about or anything like that. your mom is probably worried out of her mind figuring out what to do to help you, all because you stopped taking your birth control pills and are embarrassed about not having sex?
