Today, my boyfriend told me he was going out tonight to celebrate his ex-but-still-friends-girlfriend's birthday at a local club and hopes I wasn't offended that I wasn't invited. I sure am offended; we have the same birthday. FML

Today, a couple of days after my boyfriend came on a night out with my friends but made us leave early as he had an early work shift, he's now spent the last two nights out with his friends, late, and all my friends are busy and a bit peeved at us taking off early the other night. FML

I am best friends with my ex from high school. There is nothing wrong with remaining friends as long as there are boundaries. OP: I do however think there is something wrong when he chooses the ex over you. FYL

That is completely immature. Maybe if you're 15 I can understand that point of view. But I'm friend with my exes. Hell, one has been my best friend for 10 years. But no friend should come before your boyfriend/girlfriend, especially something like a birthday. That's what he did wrong, not that he dared to be friends with an ex.
