Today, I woke up in the middle of the night because I was thirsty. In my groggy state, I grabbed the first bottle of liquid I could find, opened it, and took a sip. It was nail polish remover. FML

That's repulsive. I would be able to tell by the shape no matter how awake I was. Or at least by the smell.

Oh my goodness, I thought I was the only one! I did that too a few years ago. It was a totally idiotic thing to do - burned off a lot of the inside of my mouth - but I was fine. It's definitely possible.

How would you mistake nail polish remover for a bottle of water? Nail polish remover is in a completely different shaped bottle and has a completely different lid... Maybe you should avoid keeping nail polish remover within arms reach of your bed.
