I hope you're thinking twice about supporting their music now.
It's like limited editions of anything, only so many of a certain item made (which makes it more valuable)..hmm, yeah...can (company name) make a one hundred & one item just for me because I wasn't able to be one of the 100 who got one? ...nope...that just how it works...don't complain, this is real life, get over it, & get in with life..maybe you'll get another chance to get something others won't...just don't be smug about it. :)
Its really not the fact that they were 101. Its the fact that they're favorite band is a bunch of rude cocksuckers. They simply could of said. "We're sorry, we're done signing. But thanks for being so patient and a awesome fan." Or something close to that. I mean if it wasn't for fans like them, their band would be nowhere. And op sorry to hear that.
They did say only 100 man...
The "get lost" part was unnecessary but if it's the first one hundred, they can't sign the 101th person because it's unfair for the rest of the fans who probably love then as much as you do. Signing seems like a tiring business, a whole bunch of exciting fans asking you to sign their stuff is exhausting and if they let one person over the line, the next person will also want one. But besides that, FYL, because they treated you disrespectfully.
am I the only one that kinda wants to know what band it is now? haha
This reminds me of the time when I was still in my A Day to Remember phase when I was 14-15. They were supposed to stay from 4-6, but they left at 4:30, and I traveled to the city for nothing. Weird, I always heard that they were polite to their fans. But yeah, it's really disappointing when you find out that band members you like are jerks to their fans, families, etc. :( Sorry to hear this.
ADTR are actually really nice guys
It sucks to be number 101, but cut the band some slack. Yes, they owe everything to their fans. But think of how this goes: I'm assuming they went on stage and they gave it their 100% best, all they had. Because that's what you do when you're a band that respects their fans, and that's the only way to get popular. So popular you disappoint people when you limit your signings to 'only' 100. So after the gig, you're spent. You want to kick back and have the adrenaline level slowly get back to a normal level. But no. Some manager type thought it was a good idea to promise 100 signings, next to the backstage meet and greet, meeting the sound guy's son, and taking lots of pictures with people you don't know. But you love your fans, and you go back into the crowded hot space where they set up a desk for the signings. And of course you don't 'just' sign something - you want to interact with your fans too - because that's awesome and you owe everything to them. Even though you're exhausted that's great fun when you're talking to 5 fans. Or 10. Maybe 20. But there's 100. So after 100 signings you're positively at the end of your wits, and there's *still* a crowd, getting agitated because they're afraid they're not getting an autograph. And in 2 days it'll be the same thing all over again, just at a gig on the other side of the planet. Now it's never ever proper to tell a fan to 'get lost' (whether it was a band member or one of the staff that said that), but I can kind of see where it could come from.
OH MY GOD. I FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO COMMENT FROM MY PHONE. ITS SO SIMPLE, YET ITS TAKEN ME ALMOST A YEAR. HOLY CRAP.

It's amazing how some bands don't treat their fans with respect. It's the fans that buy the concert tickets and CD's and make it all happen for them, after all.
And this is why you shouldn't be fanatical over people who couldn't give a flying monkey turd about you, they're getting money so why care right?
