Today, I was told I've been flagged for getting too many pain meds and am being cut off from the doctors who've been writing the prescriptions. The reason for the meds is because I have a painful bowel condition they can't figure out how to properly treat. FML

Pain pills cause severe constipation and may not be helping your issue.

maybe it's a good thing you're cut off from them. now you can go find a doctor that can actually help you instead of writing you prescriptions that don't help the real problem at hand.

Must've been a Canadian hospital.

It clearly states Washington United States

My bad. Could have sworn Canada's system isn't much better though.

I'd argue that it's better than the one in the U.S.

Idk for sure. I saw some footage that had people waiting weeks for treatment sometimes. Someone had both legs cut off when they should have only cut one off.

There are so many people who sell their drugs, I doubt they would do any others. Also OP, I know this is not helpful advice, but please find a good doctor specialized in gastrointestinal stuff. I had severe stomach pains for 3 years and I went to doctor after doctor who said they were stomach migraines (weird phrase I know, I don't know if it's something still diagnosed) and I was given pills that solved my situation. It might take time OP, but there is a solution for your problem.

That's a shitty situation..literally!! Sorry I'll be quiet now

You just had to be THAT person didn't you?

It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a dumb joke from 2010!

Dropping some truth there, bruh.

That sucks op, but how many were talking per day? It seems like it would a lot to get flagged like that.

That's sucks. Maybe look into changing your diet a bit and see an alternative doctor? Good luck.

If you're going through withdraws you can get a prescription for suboxone which will block all opioids in your system like if you take one it won't work or any withdraws they're currently causing will go away. It also works to ease pain it gives a similar effect without the opioids but be careful to only take it for a week or two then stop to get rid of any withdraws.

Take this as an opportunity to find a better doctor who will actually treat your condition.

Pain pills will definitely make for rough bowel movements, could be for the best.
