Today, I was called a "Potato" for at least the 30th time by people online for living in Idaho. I've lived here my whole life, I have yet to see a potato farm. None of these people has even left the East Coast. FML

Don't worry OP, I'm sure you'd be a sweet potato. All corniness aside, don't take it too seriously, those people are living in ignorance.

i hate that! I've never been called a potato, but i hate being called the "potato state". or people questioning if its a real state. i live in Idaho too

I'm from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. When I tell someone online that they ask if I am Amish. Obviously they don't know much about the Amish if I am online :P

what part of Idaho do you live in because I was born and went to college there and I can confidently say that state is full of potato farms.

I also live in Idaho (near Boise) and I've never seen a potato farm either

I am from the eastern side of Idaho there are sooo many potato fields. When I was still in high school we would get two weeks off of school and it was called potato harvest.. It was so kids could go and help the farmers with the potatoes.

To see the potato, one must learn to be the potato.

same but people have asked me if i carry potatoes around with me 24-7

Fun fact: Idaho has more trees than potatoes. People who haven't been there just don't realize this.
