Today, I spent $900 in kayaks and accessories. Come time to put them on the rack, my wife suggested we put one side on the rack and the other in the bed of the truck, and despite my reservations, I went with it. They flew off on the highway less than half a mile. She won't admit responsibility. FML.

You are both at fault, next time secure them and then tie them down

If she suggested, but you carried it out, you're just as responsible as she is. Tie your shit down right.

About time. For you to grow some balls and take responsibility.

"despite my reservations, I went with it" = your responsibility too.

Did you not think to tether them down before driving? You're partially to blame too.

Your wife is in no way responsible. It was your purchase, your truck, and your decision to go with your wife's suggestion and you were there. It is all on you. The only thing your wife owns is her suggestions. It was your decision to go with the suggestion even though you felt it was a bad idea. You own the decision and the result of that decision.

If you tied them down like you're supposed to this wouldn't have happened. this is in no way your wife's fault. don't try putting the blame on others when you're to blame.
